The Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office is hosting an exciting summit of experts on Gun Violence Reduction and Response to help educate and empower Law Enforcement. This free 2-day conference is intended for Prosecutors, Police, and Analysts interested in learning more about how California’s gun laws can be optimally used in gun investigations, violence prevention and disarming prohibited people. Speakers will train on a variety of important gun related topics, to include:

  • Legal Updates (Ghost Guns, Bruen, Assault Weapons, Prosecutorial Issues, etc)
  • Recognizing Illegal Weapons
  • Disarming Prohibited People
  • Gun Violence Restraining Orders
  • Gun Investigations
  • “Tools of the Trade” (NIBIN, Etrace, APPS, AFIS, Analysts)
  • Violence Prevention

Participants will receive valuable materials with the conference to assist in these complex cases, and will have an opportunity to network with law enforcement working in this space.
